Jordan Mac is a Rockford, Illinois based Hip hop Artist, bringing a refreshing touch to the industry with an original and authentic style. This artist’s flow and creativity set him apart from his competition. Illinois heavily influenced by Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, Outkast, 2pac, Eminem, Travis Scott and many other artists and various genres of old and new school.
7. Jordan Mac grew up in Rockford, Illinois raised by a single mother struggling with a heroin addiction while his dad served time in prison the majority of his adolescence. With not much guidance or role models around, he looked up and listened to his idols for life advice who inspired him to write raps since the age of 8. Music was the only way at times to deal with the sadness and anger from his many surrounding trials and tribulations. His mother also did time in prison while he transferred middle schools when times seemed to be at their worst. His mother finally got clean from her addictions, however his Father died from an overdose while Jordan was 17. This was very hard on him and knowing the rage in his genes could never be tamed, instead of selling marijuana and street racing to live on the edge as his father did, the rage comes out in his music. Not afraid to stand out, Jordan Mac’s mission is to inspire the lost souls and people from struggling hardships to open their minds to create their reality to live in, instead of just accepting the one they were handed.
He tends to stand out from what’s considered trending these days. His latest track, Franchise Remix, is definitely a video everyone can feel and relate to. Jordan Mac mixes his sharp sensible lyrics alongside the melodies to create the perfect music video to vibe.
