Pantile is a UK producer and DJ from Kent but based in Bristol. Johnny Welch, Aka Pantile, has been DJing and producing since 2016. Having previously gone by a different name for several years, he’s only recently re-branded and assumed the new stage name. The artist combines elements of house, breaks, downtempo and ambient, to create a unique, yet the nostalgic sound that echoes back to early Massive Attack, Aphex Twin and Tricky. Unsurprisingly, these artists played a large role in influencing his newer tastes. Electronic giants such as Bicep, Four Tet and Burial. A combination of all of these are heard in the offbeat rhythms, ethereal vocals, a deep-house/breaks-like nature of his productions.
