John Mapes is based in Southern California.John Mapes is a Singer Songwriter from Orange County CA who prides himself on writing music with a message. John has spent his entire career in different aspects of the music industry, but recently returned to songwriting after a 15 year hiatus. Most recently John released a 5 song EP entitled “Live & Learn” and the newest single “My Own Drum” on 4/29/21. He started with a simple IG account in the summer of 2019 and ended up releasing his first acoustic EP “Everyday Is A Battle” in May of 2020. The first EP was a huge milestone after taking such an extended break. After that he released his first full band song “Running in Circles” plus a follow up acoustic version of that song. These steps have all been a natural progression to the latest EP and some other projects on the horizon!
