From an early age, young Johnny Talker was exposed to music through his father’s record collection. Later influenced by his cousin, he came into contact with US-Rap and in the heyday of his youth with German rap. Regional and national jams took place; the 1210 ran the mic was rocked. Today he moves with his musical style between classic rap, lo-fi, pop and reggae/dancehall. In December 2018, “Kleines Reich Vol. 1” was released via johnnytalker.bandcamp.com. “Kleines Reich Vol. 2” was released in 2020 and is characterised by its unique, individual style “Straight outta Minden ”. This year the artist released yet another banger, “Falsches Soiel” in collaboration with the talented rappers, Ysar, Volt Disney, Ricco Beatz, Martin Meiwes, Marlo, Janine Brown. If Falsches Soiel is anything, it is a top-rated production. Here, Johnny Talker and all the artists are at their best, particularly they are either more focused or at their most scattered and spirited. Gradually, this track turns to be more interesting with mind-blowing lyrics. The beat of the song is a bit heavy-handed, still, it is balanced by the pleasantly incredible chorus’ sample. All the rappers shine when they spin well off their axis. Sonically, “Falsches Soiel” is more of the same. The artists become so masterful when playing with the beats and altogether the delivery showcases their enormous musical capacity and is compelling almost no matter what the content of the rhymes. Overall, Falsches Soiel is a jaw-droppingly single, created with a tremendous collaboration worth adding to your playlist.
