WISE UP

by Nothing Past Six

WISE UP from Nothing Past Six, is a next level Rock song with an extremely cool melody. You get lost in your thoughts with the captivating voice of the artist and the unique melody. He said, “Nothing Past Six project was born out of a need to feel a certain Catharsis, a connection that I felt slipping away as I strum guitar riffs behind a wall. After a fair share of anxiety and panic attacks, the quasi apocalyptic events in Lebanon had definitely taken a toll on me, and many many others, for that matter”. The cover of the song “Wise Up” was first brought to life a week after the blast on the 4th of August 2020. The song itself kept playing in my head as we were all going through this shocking part in our lives, and I decided to make it my/our own. The months that followed were haunted by recurring images and traumatic moments, and a huge amount of data kept pouring in, whether it was videos, pictures or stories. It made me realize how impactful this confusing age of uncontrollable information is. We had so many moments caught on that horrific day, sadly bringing us back there, but also reminding us that we were never alone in this.

Here is lyrics,
It’s not
What you thought
When you first began it
They’ve got
What you want
Now you can hardly fight it though
But now you know
It’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
‘Til you wise up
You’re sure
There’s a cure
And you have finally found it
You think
One drink
Will shrink you ’til you’re underground
And living down
But it’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
‘Til you wise up
Prepare a list of what you need
Before you sign away the deed
‘Cause it’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
It’s not going to stop
‘Til you wise up
No, it’s not going to stop
‘Til you wise up
No, it’s not going to stop
but don’t
give up
